Random nothings
Well i haven't had much to say for the past week or two. Just haven't been able to put all of my thoughts together. One thing I have been noticing is that when I invite my friends who live here in Rochester to my gigs (i mainly do private gigs, so when i play live for a croud it's rare) about 3 out of 20 show up. I don't get it. I always hear " let me knwo when your playing." But when it comes up, " oh i have to write a paper, oh I have to get up early tommorow. okay, how many papers have we all had to write, and pretty much everytime we spend much of that time procrastinating doing nothing. I give advanced notice and everything. So why can't the paper get done DURING THE DAY WHEN NOTHING IS GOING ON? i mean classes really aren't for 24 hours a day and you've known about the paper for at least a week ahead of time. The thing that makes me upset out it is that when people tell me they are playing, or having an event, no matter what i have to do, I go, shit i've had to work at 4am and i've gone to support my friends play till 2am! I get everything i need to get done out of the way also. I guess it just comes down to people just don't give a shit about it. I know that my friends who don't live in Rochester would be there, but duh, they live elsewhere. I guess i'm just gonna have to keep caring, but with a grain of salt. I guess some poeple just don't go all out for thier friends like I do. o well!

Don't sweat it man. That's why I stopped announcing my gigs. At least you get 3 people to show up. I get on an average... none! How about that!? Haha! It's the same deal here. I know that my out of town (let alone, country) friends would show up too. It's been proven!
My friend Nabate told me to keep announcing the gigs. His reasoning was just to simply put it out there since you never know. I agree with this but, the time and energy you expend on telling someone about the who, what, when, where, why, and how... and then turns up null and void is pretty daunting.
I forgot to put the infamous ~Q~ at the end of that statement... Haha
i think, secretly, people are shallow and don't like to see others do well, or do things they can't. that's my two cents, anyway.
... and a good two cents it is anonymous ~Q~
Well, so get the positive thing about this. You do have people who would show up.
How about being happy just knowing that?. Yeah, i would go too because that is the way to prove a friendship. I'm talking about being there in those small moments of your life. Those small moments that just because they mean a lot to you, they mean a lot to me. Yes, that's how i see friendship too.
Well, as i said, Devon, don't think about the ones who don't go. Think about the ones who actually go and the ones who would go.
Those are the ones that are worth your thoughts :-)
I just checked the new photographies hmmm... these ones i really like, specially the one that the sun looks so powerful.
It's interesting how it seems to be like hidden, but still it shines with all that power, and it keeps giving us the light we need to see. The light we need to see... Beautiful.
