Holiday Mayhem!!!

well this year, I for one am going to stay inside while the general public push and shove to get thier holiday shopping done. I like Christmas and all, but the traffic, the dramatizations, and the herds of people just don't tickle my fancy!
There is talk of completely getting rid of thesaying "Merry Christmas" on cards and products. Now, for how long has it been that way? I mean, must we be THAT politically correct all of the time? Yes i understand that there are many religions and cultures that worship different Gods or have different beliefs, and don't celebrate Christmas. but i just think that this being politically correct nonsense is going to far. I mean, no matter WHAT you say or do, someone will be offended. It's life. DEAL!
Everytime the holidays are around, people tend to get the itis. The i can't drive to save my life itis!! Snow falls and people drive as if it's the first time it has ever snowed in Rochester. 2 inches is NO reason to panic people!! it's annoying but funny to watch the people in thier huge SUV's going 15mph in an inch of snow!!!
Lastly, the crouds bug me! There are just swarms and swarms of people in the malls. The food court is completely occupied at all times. It's complete chaos. Santa has his castle setup in the center of the mall ( making sure that they take up the smallest walkway possible). Notice that the Italian guys with the spiked hair aren't standing outside of the Nextel store!! Every store already knows people will be in and out no matter what they sell (strategy number one: walk in store, buy Aunt sally the shiny thing that's on sale). So they put the italian guys on televisons advertising your brand new Nextel(crap) phone!
Well that is the very very short version of it. All in all, Christmas time is a time for love, peace, harmony, Clay Aiken, cherishing, Soprano's DVD $9.99 sale, and happiness!!!
