Cincinnati

Tuesday:
I took a greyhound down, and it wasn't that bad. not too crouded. I slept for the most part of the 11 hour ride. I had to transfer in Clevenland and had a 45 min. layover, but besides that, it was smooth sailing. I saw Amish people for the very first time in person. I thought the lady was a nun when she got on, but her husband fit the Amish profile perfectly(hat, trousers, suspenders, white cotton shirt, long white beard). Well we are on the way to Columbus OH, and we get off the thruway, now we are driving in the middle of nowhere for like 20 min. We finally pull into a parking lot with a tiny greyhound station that seems to be very much closed. (i.e, complete darkness within!) Off in the distance there is a light flickering. looked like a flame or something.It gets closer. Then SHIT!!!! A black stallion comes out of nowhere, and a person in black clokes hops out of a black wooden carriage and runs towards the bus. Phantom of the opera shit. I was scurrrrd! (i died!) Then the Amish people get up, hahaha, it was thier ride!! It was a horse drawn carriage and the driver came to get thier bags. Was like the village!!
So i get to Cincinnati around 6:20 a.m. Quinn picks me up, and i go stright to bed!

Wednesday:
Quinn's apartment is pretty damn sweet! Bachelors pad like a mo-fo! We went to eat at a place called Inn the Wood Tavern. Good cheap breakfast. We then went to the Campus and he showed me around. Met a couple music students(it was finals week) Every one was so chill. The school is HUGE and the facility is amazing. I should have went there!!!!
We had dinner at this mexican place called Chipoltle. They had burritos and stuff like that. It was the best ever! OMG! Met a trombonist friend of Quinn's. Chatted, good times. After that we drove around the city a lil bit. That's when i realized how big that campus was!! It's a mile and a half long on all four sides. u gotta drive to get to one end in good time!! We went to this ice cream place that had amazing ice cream and shakes and baked goods.(there wasn't any snow, and was relatively nice out! can't beat bein a lot further south!!) We went to a jazz club further in the city and had a few beers. there was a really good 16 peice big band playing. It was very enjoyable. We went to McDonalds after that and picked at the jacked up sign and the girl who sereved us in the drive-thru! Then called it a night!

Thursday:
After Quinn took his last final, we walked around the campus again. We went across the street to eat at this chinese food place. Really good food. The people serving us looked like they were gonna break into a kung fu fight at any second!! (wow, jackie chan just started kickin ass in a commercial as i wrote that!) I swear, whenever my glass was half full, it was refilled! Amazing service!!
That night we went to play at this black poetry bar. It was hosted by a woman named "black butterfly". there were 2 other women named rewop and doowop. Quinn and 2 cats from his school played grooves behind the poets. Was pretty good. I sat in on drums. Fun stuff. It was real layed back, and i got free beer, so i was content! I got hit on by rewop actually. Said i had cute dimples, Goodness, why do older women love hitting on me? creepy stuff!!!

Friday was chill. we packed up and drove back to rochester, so that ends my Cincinnati blog!!!
